Aldwych without a shadow of a doubt. It's by far the best level in TR3.

I also have a huge soft spot for Temple Ruins; I don't consider it 'genius' but they really nailed the atmosphere with this one. I used to be terrified of it when I was younger. One of my favourite moments in any TR game is when you first enter the room with Randy and Rory's bodies and that music plays. There's something so majestic about it.

Honestly most of these levels are up there, sans the boss battles. Although I have to give props to City. You actually had to use your head. The other non-boss levels were all fantastic. TR3 was my second only Tomb Raider game (after TRC) but I didn't mind the challenge at all.

It's really varied and has lots to do, and it looks amazing. The Shiva statues, the big outdoor areas, the multiple multiple-key trials, the trap room with fire-breathing wall ornaments, it's a great level. The River Ganges is a bit of an average follow-up IMO.

It's also bloody damn difficult, especially the last two puzzles. Considering it was only the second level of the game, it really was tough.

I like River Ganges, but I'll agree that it's bland. I'm not a fan of vehicle based levels, and i also despise the lengths you need to go just to get to one of the secrets.

Well I didn't really care for india levels that much except for maybe the jungle and caves of kaliya levels and maybe river ganges was fine. Temple ruins happened to be my least favorite level in india since it took up so much time with those shiva statues when having very limited ammo for the shotgun. But lud's gate is so much better since it has egyptian exhibits in a british museum but nevada and south pacific are top notch for me.
