iPhone/iPad version?
I bought the iPhone version today and there isn't any difference in level layout. The graphics are decent. And with some controlling problems it plays smoothly.
Has anyone else played it? What did you think? |

I have it on my iPhone 3G as well(3G simple, not 3GS), the controls are indeed hard to adapt to, but graphics are decent and I've only encountered a minor game bug until now. It happenned when I made Lara jump and she suddenly landed somewhere out of the map xD

I never encountered any bugs. The most problems I had were controlling where Lara jumped and shooting the spear is really akward

I've got it on iPhone and iPad. Just for context: I've never played it on PC or whatever other platform it is out, so I can't compare it to that.
I really don't like the controls on the iPhone version, they feel awkward and my thumbs obscure most of the screen. This is way better on the iPad version, which is a lot of fun. Still, the controls are fiddly. Especially combat is horrible, although that is balanced out by the spear being a very decent weapon for most purposes, the ability to drop bombs wherever, and in later levels, some ridiculously overpowered rifles that can almost kill the final boss in one shot. I also really hated the parts with the walls that close in around you; that is almost impossible on an iPad. The integration with iOS is lacking. Nothing bad, really, but lots of small details. Most notably, it's the only app I have that includes a menu item to quit it. WTF, guys? Yes, the thing has bugs and glitches, quite a lot in fact (and I believe they were already present in the PC version, since those are basic gameplay issues, nothing related to the port). Nothing that is a real problem, though. The overall game is fun and the length is worth the price, although if you have both iPad and iPhone, I recommend just getting the iPad version. It looks pretty, gameplay is fun and it's challenging but never frustrating. The story is complete crap and I forgot all about it halfway through the first level, but that's normal for Tomb Raider. What I didn't try out yet is the multiplayer. I might have to ask my sister to help me there... |

I had a question, why is it that when you play multiplayer- (I try to play online with other people) nothing ever happens?

I read reviews that complain the game for iPhone does not support retina display. What does that mean? That the game runs on pre-iPhone 4 low resolution? (480x320)?
