Game Development General Chat
This is a general discussion thread for all game devs on Tomb Raider Forums. The discussion revolves around the use of software beyond the TRLE. Post any works including 3D modeling, conceptual artwork, level designs, textures, materials, rigging, animating, scripts, tutorials, and so on.
Feel free to post anything you are working on, comment on each other's work and share tips to improve. I think it's becoming clearer and clearer that more designers will be using contemporary toolsets in the coming years on the forums. Quote:

Great idea for a thread. If anyone is looking to learn 3D modelling I suggest Blender, because it's free and easy to use. Blender Guru on YouTube has some great tutorials. I look forward to seeing people's work, and sharing knowledge.

I was recently inspired to remodel some higher-poly TR1 menu items:
Thought I should post them here to give my own thread some life. |

I love those objects! My only critique is that British Passports don't have such a noticeable spine. I think it would be a cool throwback to the 90s if the handheld console was a Gameboy, and the music player was a Sony WalkMan.

I like it as a cassette player, it's a less waste of space on her adventures Was the old blue passport standardized? Afaik modern Passports have rounded edges. Last edited by TR-Freak; 26-03-18 at 09:37. |

Awesome work, larafan25! Thoose objects looks great, I love them ♥
Are you planning to release them when they are finished? it would be so much fun to try and make fake screenshots renders and perhaps Main menu screens and such things |
