FreakRaider's Tomb Raider Anniversary Edition
Welcome to the thread of my next remake.
I will be remaking Core Design's Tomb Raider Anniversary Edition. I am not sure yet if I will make a full game or just some levels, but for now I am planning to only do the first few Peru levels with the help of all the pictures of TRAE. The remake will be done in Unreal Engine 4. My last project TRAoD 1.5 sadly had been temporarily canceled because of technical issues, just in case you are seeing this and wondering what is going on. I don't have a fancy trailer or anything yet, but a screenshot of ingame footage to give you a bit of an idea how it will look! The control scheme will be *drumroll* just like the classic ones! (at least I'll try to make it like that lol) Meaning the camera always is behind Lara and she is being controlled with the Arrow Keys and ALT to jump and so on. I will also use TR1 music, and try to also use some TR3 (because those were in the trailer) grunts. A first prototype glimpse of Tomb Of Qualopec here: http://i.imgur.com/gIz9MHp.jpg (as seen in this concept art) So yeah, that is it for this totally unspecial announcement, feel free to give me critique and ideas that I could implement, because since I am working on a classic TR this time, I can actually take in ideas and use them, because not everyhing has to be realistic. That screenshot looks awesome and it's cool that you use the unreal engine as opposed to the limited TRLE engine!
Do you think that it's possible to make the controls similar to the ones in the PS2 version of AoD? In my opinion those are the perfect blend of old and new style controls. |

I believe it would be closer to TRAE if you somehow extracted TR1 levels and remodeled then.
If you want, i think i can do that for you, but you need to send me TR1 .PHD files. Last edited by Xopax; 08-02-16 at 17:51. |

This is going to be an amazing journey. I'm honestly more excited for this than for the AOD project
