Default Beach party

For my birthday this year, I plan on having a beach party. I have never tried that before, so I have zero experience.

Those of you who have done this, or anyone who can offer ideas on what things I'll need, I'd appreciate the info.

So far I've bought:

-Wood for fire (there are no trees nearby, don't worry)
-Newspapers, matches etc to light up the fire
-A big barrel with ice to keep the drinks cool
-Sheets and towels for people to sit on
-Decorative torches
-Fluorescent sticks to tie on rocks and throw them in the water (I plan on picking everything once the party is over, of course)
-A table
-chairs/sunbeds
-As for music, there will be no power supply and I don't plan on wasting money on a generator. The beach is accessible by car, so I figured I'll ask a friend with the best audio system in their car and prepare MP3 playlists.

Any more ideas?

For music why not ask someone if they could bring their Ipod docking station that can use batteries?

Alcohol?

You could always ask the people who are attending to bring what they need.

As far as alcohol is concerned, I'll provide lots of cans of beer and wine.
I also thought of taking a watermelon, remove all the stuffing and fill it with alcohol. Like a beach party punch bowl.

As for the games, it'll be hard to play games that require adequate light.

If you do use a watermelon as a punch bowl, fill it with vodka.
No one cares about what's mixed with the vodka.

You should also look up whether you need a permission for such a beach party and where you can get it.

For a party, all you need is friends, alcohol and music.
The rest just sort of happens...

I already bought 6 of those.

There are 17 people who are confirmed and they can go up to 25-30.

I revived the thread, as the party will take place this Saturday. Any last minute ideas would be great.
