Default TR3 "Aha"

I'm trying to track down the audio of Lara's "aha" from TR3, as it appeared on the Mac version.

I originally played Tomb Raider on the Mac, and distinctly remember the "aha" sound effect present in TR3, but was surprised not to find it in the samples files. I posted about it on the TR3 forum and my memory was correct - it *did* appear in TR3, but only on the Mac version (See this thread: https://www.tombraiderforums.com/sho...d.php?t=225714)

Is there a way to extract the samples from the original files, OR has anyone else extracted the TR3 "aha" before to get a higher quality version than in TR2?

Hi Craig Michaels.
If you are looking for a tool that let you decompile the original MainSFX files from both TR2 and TR3 take a look at this:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/yly3ns.../msfx.rar/file

This is a command line program, and you can decompile all wavs from a .SFX file.

Hope this is Ok for you! Good luck!

Thank you both! This was really helpful. I wasn't familiar with the command line program. I had seen the tutorial before but it's great to have a reminder about it. The .wav file included sounds a bit better than TR2 but still a bit scratchy.
