Uncharted 4 had transition pre-rendered cutscenes, they served as transition between huge scenes, essentially hiding the loading screen for the location and then switching back to real time cutscenes. They looked identical, though.

I hope so! I'd hate to not have a PS4 on the release date, like back in 2013 when I didn't have a PS3 and only played it in late 2015.
If I don't have a PS4 in 2018 or 19, I won't wait too long, for sure! |

They are cutscenes and they are pre-rendered.
It's very easy to spot the pre-rendered parts of the cutscenes, going into photo mode and changing any setting would display nothing during pre-rendered cutscenes (obviously). There were quite a few of them, though most are real time. They served as loading screens just like the ones in the ps3 trilogy did. The difference here is that the real time ones look just as good. |
