What are games that you tried, but just couldn't finish?
Far Cry 1, I love games with challenge, but this was too much challenge and not enough fun. I'm also a hard core gamer too so it's not that I like my games easy, my all time favorite games is Dark Souls, but the difficulty in this game is just too much for me. Only made it to level 3 before I couldn't do it anymore.
What games were you ever unable to finish? I'll probably add more when I can think of more. |

Rayman on the PsOne.
I love the first few levels of that game but as soon as I get to Bongo Hills... |

Destiny 2, no question.
I invested over 1000 hours in the first game (regretfully, in hindsight, but eh) as I loved the world so much and especially the feel of the gunplay, it just hit the nail on the head. But then microtransactions alongside overpriced premium DLC and a lack of decent updates drove me away from the first one. Along comes the sequel which promised to deliver so much of the community's dream for Destiny. I stupidly bought into it and didn't wait for reviews, and oh man it's one of my most bitter disappointments that I caved and did so! Ah well, I shall never make that misjudgement again with another game, so I guess I have that to thank D2 for. |

Overall? A hundred games probably.
Recently? Metroid: Prime. It just feels to unrefined. |

I remember when Majora's Mask first came out, I gave up on it after the first dungeon. I couldn't stand the 3-Day cycle time limit and having to restart my progress at the end of each cycle. It wasn't until many years later that I gave the game another try and fell in love with it. I actually played it all the way through and completed, so I guess it doesn't really answer your question. But it was the first one that came to mind that gave up on. I'm glad I gave it another try.
But to answer your question: - Banjo Tooie: I loved the first Banjo Kazooie game, but I never made it far in this one. It didn't have the same charm for me at the time similar to MM. But now I really want to replay it and try to finish it all the way through. As of right now though, I've never completed it. - Silent Hill: Shattered Memories: Another game I really never gave a chance. I didn't really get into the game at the time. But I was also in college and only had time to play through my favorite games. I need to replay this one too. - Crash Twinsanity: I made it to the Academy of Evil and couldn't stand the game anymore. I liked the concept behind it, but it felt so repetitive at that part in the game with no variety. And the characters were getting on my nerves. - Resident Evil 0: I literally made it the last boss and didn't even bother finishing it. The game bored me to tears after the Training Facility part. And this is coming from someone who usually loves the Classic RE game style games. |

I haven't finished it, but I still want to for the completion: Middle Earth:Shadow of War; I'm on a long break from it.
What the hell was Monolith thinking when they created the Shadow Wars endgame? Its absolutely, utterly excessive - tedius, boring, pointless grinding. You don't have to use MTs either. It's just a poorly designed part of an overall mediocre game I thought would be Game of the Year material. It's literally twenty siege battles - either defend, or attack if you loose one - all the same way over and over and over and over again. The only difference is who attacks and what boss fight is at the end if you loose a defense. Outside of that, Monolith improved the lore and storytelling, but only by a small margin. Even without John Gonzales at the helm. He wrote Shadow of Mordor...and I don't think he did all that great of a job, outside the introduction of the story. Thank God he was hired by Guerrilla Games to help design and write Horizon Zero Dawn. If Monolith makes a third game, they have a lot to examine and consider... Haydee as I didn't have the patience for it. But I did like playing as the big titted and assed character.

Driv3r for the original Xbox - Laggy, glitchy and a complete mess. I don't believe they tested it before releasing it.
