Yeah, I always saw the thingy on the left as the tail. And the triangle under the arm is possibly the other arm. It's sitting like a dog and facing to the right.
Chinese dragons are rarely shown in a sitting position, that's why I think that Core mixed different dragons together. |

For some reason, I'm seeing a little of Kraid from Super Metroid in the way the dragon statue looks.

I always thought they were really cute. :3 Smol chubby dragons, sitting on their hind little leggies with the tongue sticking out, like dog in summer.
