How do you find this subforum so far?
Since some time ago we (level builders) really were eager to change things here and there regarding how things are being stored, where newbies and professional users should post etc. I really do wonder how do you find this new subforum so far? Do you think it is good? Is it useful? I see there have been quite a lot new posts written here since it was created. No to so many threads yet, butn I'm sure it will get better since we have so many eager new builders really trying to learn TRLE.
So, what are your thoughts? |

I think a thread would have done, no need for a whole new subforum.

Honestly, we should try to attract actual newbies to trle before thinking of helping nonexistent ones.

I think the sub-forum speaks for itself.

As a person who is new to the editor I honestly think a thread would've sufficed
HOWEVER at the same time I think the subforum can be shifted toward more of a central resource for new builders. Like having a thread "here's how to script this" or "here's how to do this". Since a lot of tutorials are spread out on random websites or the links/images are broken. So having a single destination to find out about how to do everything would be nice. |

A question/answer section, like Stackoverflow, where you can upvote useful answers and select one as the accepted answer. That would have been great, for everyone, not just new level builders. |

One thing this forums need is a better search function. Having to wait 30 seconds between searches or having it tell me a word is too common is a no-go. I have to resort to googling using site:tombraiderforums.com.

The 30 seconds search limit can only be changed by directly editing the database as far as I remember.
About the forum itself, I also agree that it should have been a Q&A section for ALL builders, not just non-existent newbies. |
