The Maria Doria is quite a large level anyway I'm not sure if it could be combined with Living Quarters but it's definitely a thought! It could be worth a try. Quote:
The temple does seem a bit out of place but I wanted to add a actual puzzle into the level somehow, and wouldn't be able to do that with just caves. I do have sea caves as well to explore. I'm not sure about other small wrecks to go into because there's already 4 levels inside the ship anyway I don't wanna just build that. It may feel a little different but oh well I wanted to build something new to the level. Also I hope the screenshots aren't too dark. My screen has been annoying me recently. In game the level is fine |

I really like these news update Bradley.
Very impatient to discovered your 40 phatoms . Not really people know that but an hypothetical sunken continent called Kamuri Kandam was supposed to be destroy in the Indian Ocean . I search in internet and the civilisation was a bit like Bradley screen, a mix between Indian and khmer. Maybe Maria Doria sunk near the ruins of a city of this continent . |

This is incredible.. But I do not why, but I thin lara should discover a grand cave with THE DECK after temple, then Living Quarters, then 40 phantoms and at the end she should discover Wreck of Maria Doria where she will find safe with seraph .. I think this will make more sense / just my opinion

For Part 2 I'm definitely not going to create any tedious gameplay and over complicated areas like some in Part 1. At the end of the day it's got to be fun to play otherwise I won't even want to play it |

I was getting the direct x error message until I tried the third "no waiting for refresh" option. I don't know if it helped, but I also right clicked on the exe file, selected properties and security, then chose the run as administrator option. I'm running the game at 1920x1080 (32 bit along with the 32 bit texture depth) in full screen and can see the fmvs. |

I'm so glad you guys like the improvements of the manor. There are so many improvements left to see! Can't wait for everyone to play the updated manor level. I put so many days, weeks and hours of work into it. I really want it to be the best looking classic Manor level ever made.
The thing I'm especially proud of is the realistic proportions of all the objects in the level. I designed a measure system in which Lara is exactly 1.725 meters long, and one block exactly 2.30 meters high. This allowed me to carefully measure and change all objects sizes to real world proportions. It makes the level feel so much more realistic and Lara much less of a weird child/midget she used to be so many times in the classic Tomb Raiders. Core Design never got that right themselves either somehow. |

I am glad that you are continuing your project.
40 Fathoms at an advanced stage of work Certainly the levels of Maria Doria and the Temple of Xian are the coolest to design. Living Quarters and The Deck also belong to those levels that are a pleasure for the player. For me personally, the whole depth of the wreck is great so I'm waiting for it more than in Tibet. |

I just finished Part 1 about about an hour.
Bravo! Honestly man. You have truly captured the escence of Tomb Raider II, and used the elements wonderfully that were introduced up to Chronicles as the engines final resting place. I had a really fun time and look forward to whatever greets us in Part 2. I may just be picky, but sometimes I really loathe TR4s dynamic lighting system when it comes to dark textures. Those whites in unnatural light, somehow manage to wash out the surrounding shades. I'm talking about the great wall. The only thing, which occupies the only side of my mind that made me think "suggestions wise" for your adventure so far. The most minor of complaints - how about playing a bit more with that cavernous lighting (im only really talking about the first rooms btw) and even a more seamless cave rock texture split for your rerelease. I haven't read the entire thread, but I hope you take it into account. I'm still really amped. I so wish there was more! Side thought - should make an ingame cheat to enable All Level Select yeah I sometimes cheated on these games when I was younger - why not. It's there and its cool! I blame my love for Uzis, and love playing the offshore levels off bat Theres a manual on this forum of how to 'simulate' dual magnums in the sixshooter slot..that would be freaking amazing! Love the roar those automatic pistols make when originally shot together Last edited by mizuno_suisei; 01-11-18 at 12:43. |

~ Update Package ~
I wanted to finally get this released for everyone to play! The update package contains: A new look to Lara's Home. Gameplay remains mostly the same but with many new details around the manor. Definitely worth another play. Venice speedboat bug fix. Other minor small fixes in the diary pages, audio, title and script. Download the update here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cil0gxgwaa...ckage.zip?dl=0 You still need the full download from trle.net: http://www.trle.net/sc/levelfeatures.php?lid=3054 You just need to replace the files from the update download into the full folder. Check the readme for more details. Big thanks to TRJTA for the extra details on the manor and for helping me with the update! Have fun! |
