That's true, for example God of War solved this problem, but in TR we just can't have two magic dwarf blacksmiths that pop up everywhere in the map to upgrade our gear

At times in God of War that was a little silly with that. Especially towards the end where they conveniently show up to upgrade your weapon and then *poof* gone behind a rock. Not a big thing, it actually made me chuckle because at least the dwarf had personality.

They'd need to do something else, but I'm sure it'll be campfires.

Just get rid of the alternate weapon versions, add an inventory screen and let us carry all the weapons at once, its no less realistic than laura being able to fire all 80 hollow point bullets she's carrying then her magazine of roughly 8 regular bullets all without reloading.

There’s only so much sense a game can make before it becomes a total bore. You have to ‘ignore’ somethings in order to enjoy it.

Yeah, they could do that. I would prefer that over the way it's now. It doesn't make sense for her to carry that much ammunition, but we seem to just accept that. The weapons can be handled any number of ways. What I really don't need is all the "breaks" with the campfires and Camilla's shenanigans.

Of course. Generally I agree with that, I just don't think this is one of those cases. This can be done better.

I don't think it's a problem, it's just a choice they make that we don't all necessarily agree with. I know I haven't been a big fan of it since TR9, I only once caused a random bug that made both the Bow and Rifle visible at the same time and it made me surprisingly happy.
