It now shows a maintenance notice. Guess we will have to wait until whatever the issue is gets fixed.

Trle.net was up briefly at 0300 PDT just before I went to bed for the night. Michael had already posted his message about server problems. I responded to him that it had crashed three times during the last 2 days (when it was briefly up) while I was trying to send my drafts of PMs and forum posts. I told him there may be a server software/hardware problem with the preview post feature and/or the interface to submit posts/messages.

Trle.net is currently down completely.

As I posted this, trle.net came back up. Hopefully for good.

trle.net is down again. Same problem. It crashed while trying to send a requested PM about a draft walkthrough to a moderator.

This is very serious!

It is currently down, hopefully not for long. This has happened before, as it does to many different websites.

Many threads about "trle.net is not available".

I'll close the other ones, but, please, the next time, don't open a new thread for this problem, only simply post HERE.

Thank you.

I think the rules of TRF is too strict, and sometimes irritating. On one hand, you don't allow posting on old thread; on the other hand, you don't allow opening new thread for old topics. What's the point of all these rules? And for anyone to use the forum, they have to be familar with the forum as you, knowing whether the forum has an old post and if yes, where they are. Or they have to use the search function every time if they want to say something, and even after the search, they have to decide according to the rules whether to post on the original thread or start a new thread.

probably it's time for Michael to think about to change hosting, - these permanent problems with access to the site are already rather boring. I can not get to the site for three days already

It is not a hosting problem with trle.net. The site has been up and down the past three days as they try to figure out what the problem is. Michael Prager posted a message a day ago that he keeps thinking he has the problem solved, and then after about 30 minutes or so it crashes again. It may be a hardware problem with the server machine, and if he has to get a new computer system, then the site will be rebuilt from backups, etc.

In the meantime, he said that everyone should keep backups of all their recent posts/reviews because they may get lost if the website is rebuilt on a new machine.

Currently, the website sometimes crashes when someone posts or edits messages and the server can't process it properly.

Thanks for the up to date info. Guess we will have to wait a bit before TRLE comes back.
