Is this good or bad idk?
I have been sick of the X-Men getting shafted all the time, because of Marvel needing the rights to use them from Fox. Is this going to be any better though? |

Well, Iger has said he plans to integrate the Fox Marvel rights into the MCU, so... we'll see. Guess we know what's going on for Phase 4 now.

Fewer movies and all under the same general creative control umbrella. How great.
Seriously, just thinking about the superhero movies, I have a hard time seeing how this is an advantage. Yes, Disney would have never made a mess like Apocalypse (I do love Apocalypse, but precisely because it is a horrible mess). But things like Logan or Deadpool (but especially Logan)? Wouldn't have fit into the MCU phase plan, wouldn't have happened. Bigger teams are not a value in and of themselves. More broadly speaking, fewer big studios, and in particular one studio holding some of the most important brands in cinema history, is rather questionable. It's not good for consumers. Think of Disney wanting to establish its own streaming service; with the Fox movies under its belt, that one will be a real problem for Amazon and Netflix, who may have to increase prices if they want to keep Disney/Fox movies if they can at all. It's also not good creatively, especially since Disney has not always made the right choice either. E.g. ditching Rian Johnson and more recently James Gunn. So yeah, I have serious doubts that this will help anyone. |

Its hard to say if that is truly good or bad.
I mean the idea of stuff like the X-Men and Deadpool being part of the MCU sounds great, but then you have the fact that its all disney...disney and deadpool? I dont know. And maybe its in general not good if you put so much under the disney banner, it can hinder creativity when it all needs to be in the disney formula...very hard to say. If Disney with this also wants to branch out more then fine...but if they stick to the same formula and style with everything, then its not the best thing. |

Yay great more Marvel, oh right I don't care
It's about the liberty of the production I'm worried about, I mean they fired James Gun... yes I know it's Marvel and with the remake of The Lion King featuring the overrated Beyoncé and the lack of new animated films besides sequels I'm not so much into Disney now Except for Ducktales, Ducktales is awesome |
