Question TR1 - Lara paralysis with JoyToKey!

Hope its okay to post this here, I've just installed TombRaiderATI for the first time and it looks very nice. I was hoping I'd finally have a definitive version of TR after all these years.

I've mapped all Lara's actions via JoyToKey on my 360 pad (front and shoulder buttons) and they work fine however when it comes to moving she's rooted to the spot. I've configured the left analogue stick and d-pad but nothing happens.

Anyone?

Have you looked through other threads in this section? People have discussed configuring gamepads for TR1 on various occasions, though I remember they ran into difficulties oftentimes too.

JoyToKey and Xpadder were sometimes problematic for me. For example, they'd stop working suddenly or some buttons no longer work.

AntiMicro is fantastic! I never had a problem with this program up to yet and I have it for over a year now. Also, it is free! Many TR speedrunners using controllers use this program.

Worth a try

I used and tested X360 controller with this as well (I prefer my PS4 controller though)

Thanks for the suggestions folks.

I've tried the obvious ones and they're mostly okay but there's usually one or two vital functions that don't work.

I'll give AntiMicro a go tonight, never heard of it si fingers crossed.

In Tomb Raider, remap movement to W, A, S and D instead of the direction keys.

Then assign your controller directions in JoyToKey to W, A, S and D.

Sorted.

It worked

Thank you SO much. AT long, long, long last I can finally put my old PSX version to bed.
