Default Guitar Hero 2 downloadable songs = RIP OFF!

I can't believe how much MS are charging to download songs from the first GH on the PS2. 3 songs cost 500 Microsoft Points (MP)! I was expecting about 100 per song but that is just ridiculous.
There are 48 songs in GH1. 2100 MP costs £17.99. So (48 / 3) x 500 = 8000 MP! That means it costs just under £72 for all songs! It's cheaper to get GH1 AND the Guitar for PS2 as it only costs about £40.

Anyone else agree that the prices are a rip off?

Someone on Gamefaqs mentioned some good reasons though; the songs have to be remastered in High Definition audio, and Bass and Rhythm sections had to be added. I think there was more to it as well, but it sounded reasonable (EDIT: Co-op play!). They also are now playable in practice mode, unlike if you buy GH1 on PS2. Another factor is that you may not want to buy all the packs they release--this may be a way of skipping songs you don't care about (although it does seem there's one great song in each pack!).
