Default Youtube randomly messed up on Firefox

Ok, this isn't really a question seeking a solution as I've already found (hopefully only temporary) one, but rather a question in general, most specifically if I'm the only one who ran into this issue.

During the last couple days I started noticing a weird behavior of YT in Firefox. Thumbnails would take ages to load, the vids themselves would strangely lag/stop loading/not even start loading, etc. None of it was really deal breaking so I didn't pay much attention to it, but last night it hit the tip of the iceberg - I can no longer upload videos in Firefox. Any vid of any shape and form and size - it starts uploading fine but couple percent later it just freezes still while the "remaining time" just keeps growing. How do I know it's related to the browser? Cause I'm now using Chrome to upload the vids because it works flawlessly in there (it only takes MUCH longer to process the videos for some reason, though).

I already asked about this back at the "official YT help" yesterday and got bunch of views but no answer. I really just don't get it. It's so random. One video it works, the next it simply doesn't and nothing I do seems to help anything. I reinstalled Firefox, did all the cleaning I possibly could, to no avail. It still just freezes. Ultimately I don't really mind using Chrome to upload the vids, but it's just weird in the bad way and I don't like that. And I was really curious if anyone here would have any idea as for what might be going on.

Cheers.

Upload your flash player to the most recent version - http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

I have had similar problems using Windows Explorer over the last few weeks trying to upload a video. Either freezes or extreme long uploading times, Have also put in feedback to them about how bad the new uploader is.

I think they are messing around with the new uploader, and not for the better.

I am now using the old uploader option instead, and that works fine. You will see that option on the page.

Have you both updated Java RE as well as Flash Player?

The Great Chi: Not related to the uploader, the old one has the videos freeze exactly at the same spot.

EscondeR: Hm, I might've actually ignored some Java updates lately. Thanks, I'll try that.

Ok, updating Java didn't help either.

Disable plug-ins one at a time. It's very likely that they often get into conflict sometimes after an update.

Thanks for the input, but alas that didn't help either. I'm really starting to think someone simply put a curse on me...
