Rendering your PC at 4K
Hello guys,
there's probably much better forums to answer this question, but you guys are all ive got (L) so i've owned a 4k tv for a while now, and tbh, it sucks hard. i thought I would see much more differences but instead i mostly don't see any ground breaking new things. (mainly talking about my ps4 pro, which of course isnt native 4k. so i was wondering if there's any way to render my pc at 4k? the highest it goes is 1920x1280. is it even possible to this? thanks in advance! |

It depends on your graphics card and how you connect your PC with the TV.
As far as I know your components must be compatible with HDMI 1.4a (24Hz max refresh rate) or 2.0 (60Hz) when connecting via HDMI. Display Port 1.2 (if available on the TV) should also do the trick. |

Go into your settings and make sure the display output is 2160p RGB Even though my PS4, "detected it automatically", I had to go and manually change the display output myself. And tinker with some of the settings... As for your pc, I'm not totally sure. I actually have my pc (gtx 1070) hooked up to my old 1080p tv. It actually looks better than when hooked up to my 4Ktv. The 1070 is "capable" of running 4k, but the frame rate was abysmal. So I set it lower and run it on my old hdtv But if you have something that outputs 4k, it should look great on a 4ktv. Check those settings on yur ps4 Last edited by BigR4444; 01-11-17 at 04:32. |
