I really cannot fathom why a lot of people with decent PCs opt for the Off hair option as opposed to the others. Each step up only takes another 1-2 frames lol Its colour is so rank and it flies everywhere. It's so ****ing tacky. |

Nope, I am so glad to finally be rid of the sculpted sausage ponytails in video games.
TressFX isn't perfect sure, I think it does move too much (so did her hair before TressFX btw, Lara been had a ponytail with a mind of it's own), and from close up the strands of hair are so thick they look like ribbons. However, it is a massive development on video game hair physics and it does look better than what we had before. Especially from a distance in-game, it looks so damn life-like. I'm excited about what these new hair physics are going to develop into in another few years. It's early yet. Last edited by Yeauxleaux; 20-10-16 at 14:31. |

With how almost-perfect PureHair is, imagine the hair in the next game!

Anyone else think the beta melee finishers look better than the final ones?

I never had a problem with the squirrel hair. I guess TressFX just stands out so badly because everyone else in the game has hair that looks like it's sculpted out of play-doh whereas Lara's is clumpy and flies around wildly.
Yeah, you can see the individual strands of her hair, but each one is the thickness of a piece of pork. That's not how hair works. Granted we're a long way off from having truly realistic hair physics with strands of hair having their own weight, length and individually affected by gravity and wind, but here it just looks silly. |
