Newly opened passage in the Great Pyramid
This is maybe a little pointless, but I was wondering if anyone as a thought on this passage in the Great Pyramid.
In the level before (Atlantis), the path is blocked by an oddly placed tile in front of the entrance. I tried to go through with the position editor but I was not able to do so. If you look at it from an angle, you can see that the path behind seems there. In the next level (The Great Pyramid), the path is open... But it leads to a dead-end corridor. My only theory for the existence of this corridor, is that maybe the monsters came through it, because we can see a monster coming from that direction. The 2 other monsters probably came from the hole that formed in the lava after the earthquake. So, anyone has another theory or a thought about this passage? The passage can be used in Atlantis but gets sealed off after you complete the level.

I believe the passage is there in the Atlantis level if you jump down to the boss platform before trying to pick up the scion, as a way to avoid accidentally saving the game and getting stuck

Ohhh! I guess I've learned something today! pizzabob18 and Greenapple968 were right, if you jump on the boss platform before picking the scion you can come back by this corridor.
The door opens when you are on the boss platform. I've never dared to jump there, I thought It was to high for a jump. You do lose some energy, but not much. I feel a little silly for asking, but I hope other people have learned something new with this (like me) Last edited by BrYaN55; 29-03-12 at 07:48. |

Glad you figured it out. Though I did think everybody was aware of this.

Can someone put a video of it because the pics cannot be viewed on my PC.
Nevermind the pics showed and i knew that the whole time they purposely did that so you would be forced to go to the scion chamber to beat the level and not be allowed to go down to the ledge where you fight the torso dude. Or you would be allowed back to the chamber if you got stuck down there in Atlantis. Last edited by peeves; 15-04-12 at 01:50. |

yeah if you jump down onto the boss corridor in "Atlantis" without trying to get the Scion, Lara can go back using that corridor. In the PC version, this allows you to face the doppleganger an unlimited amount of times in the "Atlantis" level.
