Shadow of the TR Review Bombed on Steam
So, apparently Shadow is getting review bombed on Steam because....................it's on sale.
Yeah, you read that right, Shadow is getting review bombed on steam because it's on sale. Like ok, I get being upset, I myself was upset about paying full price and stuff, but to review bomb it in platforms is going overboard imo. The reviews should be used to give feed back to the developers in order to better the next installment or any future projects of a game. Only time I support review bombing is when something really controversial happens and the audience wants to give the company a message, but sales? Like that has to be the stupidest reason for this happening. https://www-pcgamesn-com.cdn.ampproj...review-bombing |

It is a stupid thing to do.
The sale isn't even that cheap AND it's been an entire month. Zero reason to complain. |

The games previous patch introduced problems for some regarding dx12 and the game starting up which may be a cause for some of the lower reviews though a hotfix has been released recently to fix it.

I'm not sure about English reviews, i don't know how to find English steam reviews,
But all Japanese user ones I see have been in regards to the sale. |

I just looked at the discussion boards on steam and damn, people are coming out in droves. Many are posting about bugs, but others are posting about sales. This literally came out of nowhere.

I just can't put my finger on which publisher managed the TR franchise worse...
Eidos or SE? |

On the other hand, people are just so bitter. It’s sad tbh. These groundbreaking bugs must only be on the computer versions of the game. I have glitches but nothing major Last edited by AntRaidsTombs; 20-10-18 at 01:19. |

When the Croft Edition is 47% off a month after release it's no wonder people feel cheated.
How this game got such "good" reviews on Steam in the first place is kind of strange. It doesn't suddenly become a worse game just because the price drops. It was still just as bad before, but it's funny how fans act out in such ways. It's a mess for sure. |

I have it on PC and the game performs perfectly fine. Better than Rise tbh. Quote:
The Croft edition allowed early access AND was released a month ago. Everyone knows games go down in price as time goes on, Rise dropped in price on PC and so did GTA V. People who paid full price, wanted to play the game on release date or earlier. Which is exactly what they got. You also haven't played the game. You can't say whether it's good or it because you literally haven't played it that's just so dumb. Usually I disagree with you, but I still always respect what you say because it comes from an educated place of experience. But calling a game you haven't played "Bad" is just stupid. You could say "This game doesn't appeal to me", but you have no idea if it's a bad game or not. That's like saying I'm bad at sex. You haven't slept with me. You have no idea how good I am at it. People not reading specs before they get the game, knowing their computer can’t handle it smh. |
