Uh there are plenty of AAA games that draw inspo and look like carbon copies of other titles and get away with it. I.E. Assasin's Creed, God Of War etc. I won't even fret. Plus I want them to take from older games and make anew

It should take inspiration from Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and none of the other PoP games. Perhaps also when it comes to level designs and puzzles, the Lara Croft games.

I've always wanted a modern TR with a Prince of Persia type setting, Rise is the closest to middle-eastern we've had in a long time with Syria.
