Can you add a manual light source, so we can control its intensity, and things like that?

It would be cool if it could cast a shadow, btw.

Movable directional light source is OK (I'd only need to make a GUI for it).
But there are other things on my to-do list before that

Dynamic shadows are complicated. I have them for static scenes already but with these poseable models, there was a problem when I tried to simply port the existing lights/shadows from my other project. So I'd have to do a research first. That's what makes dynamic shadows less likely to appear soon.

So can Maya directly import files exported with XNALara?

Have you heard about Open Source and Free Software?

If you licence your code under the terms of the GPL (v1, v2 or v3) you make sure nobody can impersonate yourself. Open Source and especially Free Software licences enforce copyright even on a legal point of view.

There are many advantages of putting your source code under the GPL. For instance you may see features added that you didn't think of or have the time to add or even didn't know how to implement. Other developers could enhance your work while you'd still be the maintainer of the project -- you may freely change their code and they may freely change your code, that's the deal. This also guarantees that the project lives and survives even after, say, the initial developer leaves or parts for any reason.

Another consequence of sharing your code [under the GPL] is to teach others how you did, avoiding to reinvent the wheel. Like a book, code is knowledge. Good code is valuable knowledge. If a good piece of code is hidden, whom will it profit to?

Finally GPL licences can legally prevent your code from being hijacked in a proprietary application without your agreement. You may hence achieve two goals that might seem conflicting: sharing and protection.

EDIT: Since it took you time to reverse-engineer those 'bigfile's (which I was almost sure you did), why not even share your analysis and your notes if you don't want to share your code? Knowing the file format would be a valuable knowledge too, IMHO (still thinking of reusing the models with Blender).

EDIT: But please, avoid software patents or anything of that kind.

Please, PM me if you want more information.
