why is when you first turn on the game it says "Lara Croft Tomb Raider Legend 2006 Core design ltd" why does in say Core Design they did not make the game

I think Core still owned some rights to Tomb Raider at that time so they had to put their name somewhere.
Other members will probaby provide you with more accurate info on this matter, though. I'm not entirely sure. |

Back in 2006 Core was still existing and the brand was still theirs, wasn't it?

I'm pretty sure it's been discussed on here before but I can't remember the exact reasons. It definitely did have something to do with copyright stuff. Perhaps TR was still legally registered to Core (who were themselves, of course, owned by Eidos so them being the legal copyright owners wouldn't have actually had any real-world meaning) or sth like that, I can't remember.

Core still existed in 2006 but they stopped existing after 2006.

Core was making TR AE, they still exist at that time.
