Camilla turned 31 today, she is now officially ten years older than Lara, if they chose to pursue a franchise with her she may be forty by the time the final film rolls around. Not to mention the earliest this film is going to appear in cinemas is 2017.

Plus, it's only said that the films will now tie in with the games (unlike the two prior TR films that was a completely different universe and canon) so in theory this could mean that Lara is somewhat older in the films (25+) than she is in TR2013 and ROTTR. Camilla could easily pass for 25 in my opinion. |

Camilla Camilla ... Camilla is a mediocre actress. She only is a Supporting Actress in a TV DRAMA! It has only been in two series and she was neither protagonist. And a crappy TV movie where she played kate Midelton!
She is not lara. It is not like Lara. In addition, she is 31 years old. She will NEVER Lara. STOP. She is out. |

If this wasn't supposed to be a reboot film I would agree with you that another actress might be more fitting than Camilla, but since this is supposed to tie in with the rebooted universe it's another thing entirely. Camilla's voice and manner is so connected to the reboot Lara persona so having another actress play her would make her feel like a different character entirely. With Camilla we'll get that reboot Lara feel immediately. |

She is HEAPS more talented than Camilla. I 100% disagree with you that if Camilla doesn't voice her it'll feel like a different character. Angelina Jolie did wonderfully as Lara and she isn't even naturally British. |

I already said Gemma Anterton before ( i don't know how to write her last name, i'm sorry ), but another name that comes into my mind is Gal Gadot:

I still think Kacey Barnfield would be a great Lara.
