Oh, I think you've saved the best for last! Even though Rise may not be the most consistent game as a whole with DLC packages included, Blood Ties did a pretty good job and it may be the best Tomb Raider material in a while since the golden days.

Obvious villain name is obvious.

Does he appear in the game or was he mentioned in the comics only?

Anyway, I voted 'I don't know' because I don't know who he is.
You're not the only one who has no idea who he is. I haven't played Blood Ties yet either.

And to answer the poll in question, I voted for "don't care" because I don't particularly care for side characters in most of the Tomb Raider games (aside from Von Croy). Although making Lara's family members main plot points is getting pretty old and lame at the same time. I mostly care about the lore and backstory behind the artifacts. As others have already mentioned, the family storylines are getting real old. The only time I didn't mind it was in Legends because it was new at the time and Lara didn't really cry about it in most of the game. I want to see more story on the artifact and the tombs and ruins in the game. The family drama is better suited for optional storylines.

You know, that's kind of a cool idea. I mean, in the classics you never really saw Lara deal with the fallout or the results of her adventures. She's been attacked twice in her home, of course, but that's not really a coda so much as part of the same story.

Think about Winston being kidnapped to Vegas. That's a cool idea, not entire game-worthy, but certainly a fun few levels. More fun than rescuing Sam or Johah, fer sure.
