Unhappy tomb raider anniversary

Hi,

Playing TRA on my laptop on level Midas Palace, right at the end of the level and trying to get Relic#2 i have thrown the switch but just aint fast enough to get to the Relic before the pillar descends. Any suggestions or am i just going to have to move on without the Relic. Any help will be appreciated ?

thanks

I would move on and replay the level later when you're more experienced. First time I tried to get that relic it took me hundreds of times and I kapt getting annoyed with and turning it off then having to start the level over again! The other day I started Anniversary again and got it first time! It's all about experience. In my opinion, that is the most difficult relic in the game!!!

There's one of the pilars, you can turn with grapple I think. (It makes you climb faster since you can avoid the fires)

Be faster. Seriously, that's about all you can do. The pillar always starts to lower for me just after I grab the relic, I'm sure you're only a couple of seconds off. Just try and perfect your route from the switch.

This vid might help

You don't need the relic to carry on. As long as you have the lead bar from that room, you're good to go. No need to skip the level. Unless you're stuck on another part?

I also skipped it, but then decided to go back and try again. Even I managed it and I'm pants. It's just gotta be on your lucky day.

PS But I won't ever try it again on a replay. Life is too short.

I would also suggest leaving the relic till later, otherwise you are likely to get too frustrated. You can replay the level later and take this as an expert speed challenge, because although it will be easier later it will still test you. And it will leave something for you to do even if you have played all the levels.

OMG i had that same problem. My sister told me to just leave it and go on, like Bradley said. So i did, and now i can get it with little luck, since i have been playing Anniversary for almost a year now.
