Lara's Home art
Can anyone help me identify the portrait that is hung in Lara's main hall? I've been trying for nearly a week trying to find the original!
It's been bugging me what it actually is and I've wanted to find out for a while now. |

We're sure it's a texture coming from a real painting ?

At this point I'm not even sure, the other paintings I think I found the original reference, but this one just takes the cake. Ah well, I'll keep looking!

Hello AJ. I'm pretty sure it's this one, a painting by Frans Snyders;
It took me a literally a few seconds to find out. You ask how? I just cropped the painting part from that image, and reverse searched it on google. A little but legendary trick Last edited by tlr online; 28-08-17 at 21:02. Reason: Image removed. Please use approved image host. See FAQ for details. |

Can you post the other ones which you identified? Maybe they will give us a clue... I'm wondering about this too. Looks like something from the Renaissance period, although I'm not an expert by any means
EDIT: Ah, too late! Congrats for a successful Google search, I tried the same, but I didn't get any clear result Last edited by Dustie; 28-08-17 at 14:55. |

I jest. It does look very Renaissance-y, which suits the style of the house in ways, as it's a Tudor-style house that looks as though it would have been built around that time period. I'm guessing it's been hanging there a very long time? |

Wow amazing find rainforest, looks like it's definitely the right one.
I tried to search using the same trick but didn't get any result. First time I see this painting. Honestly it's so pixelated I was seeing / imagining something radically different. It's particular to see this on Lara's mansion wall I have to say. It would have been a bit more appropriated in her kitchen if she had one in TR1 maybe? |

Ahh thank you so much rainforest!
I did indeed try to reverse search it myself but it seems you did it right :P This is another painting I found, this seems to be a portrait of Shakespeare. EDIT: Here sits the new remastered picture in her main hall! Last edited by aidanmalone; 28-08-17 at 19:36. |
