Trinity’s end goal
Just something I was thinking about. We know the purpose of the dagger and “box” artefacts is to unite them and obtain the power to “reshape the world”. Pretty straightforward, but how do you think Trinity will use it? As they are, they already have a lot of influence and have been shaping “the future of humanity” for hundreds of years. What will they change, make come to pass, or rewrite?

I think they just want to get rid of the evil part and nature of humanity so we can be better people. Getting rid of the bad, sinful people and all the disease and other issues we have and leaving the path open for a stronger, "cleaner" and "perfect" humanity. This is what I've gathered from RotTR

They seem heavily based on illuminati and other orders that want to 'purify' mankind and shape it in their image. I just hope the grant mystery in Shadow still has something to do with immortality because I want more answers about what Himiko was using and the Divine Source because they seem to be connected (the Star Phenomemon).
On a side note: just imagine what they'd think of the scion, they might have liked Natla..... If she's a part of 'em I will death-rattle-scream . |

I am the only one who wants to know how this ritual works ?
I mean the box and the dagger it's pretty unclear. Or the box is a metaphor for a sacrifice of a certain type of person maybe. |

So far it's seemed like a pretty basic trite "world domination" kind of motive. That would absolutely fine, if the games were cartoon-y and not hell-bent on presenting themselves seriously as "realistic".
If we're still entertaining the idea that they're based on the vatican, then religion could possibly be a motive. Maybe they could be investigating these reincarnation and immortality myths as some kind of pseudo-supernatual artifacts, finding a connection to God and the afterlife? idk. |

There's a point I have in mind and I think it's really interesting, Trinity are a shadowy organisation who cleans after the work is done.
First : Kennard Montez mass shooting in Oxford. He was a cleaner. Second : The Island of Yamatai (explained in Rise) Third : The suicide in the Tube. I think it's something more fleshed out than simple world domination. |

I hope their end goal, whatever it is, is something that blows our socks off. Something completely unexpected (and that includes NOT having anything to do with Lara's family) that we can't predict beforehand.
I keep pondering on the Predator theme...... I'm a huge fan of that film and a little part of me hopes there is something predator-ish in that jungle....... Something that Trinity is hoping to capture but turns out to be more than anyone can handle and beyond what they expected. |
