Damn I have it too, on Origin.

I am so sorry for what I'm about to do but...

Isn't it a bit early on to be remaking ROTTR?

I've just re-played Syberia and Syberia II, about to dive into the third game.

I'm a little apprehensive because I hope it lives up to it's predecessors and I've read some poor reviews about the controls - rather than it being point-and-click you now use the keyboard or gamepad and apparently the control system is quite clunky. Oh well! We'll soon see...

If your code is still available, I wouldn't mind to have it.

It's been a long time since I played both games but I still have fond memories about them. I had the retail versions but I no longer have them.

I hope you're joking cause there are 2 other Syberia games from the early 2000s, revolving around the same character and snowy locations. Absolutely no relation to ROTTR.

I'm enjoying this so far.

The controls are a little clunky and difficult to get used to - especially during some of the puzzles, they can be fiddly, but the tutorial level at the start helps accustom you to them. I know people will miss the point and click, but with these controls and the 3D world it feels like how you'd imagine a 2017 version of Syberia. The art style is still faithful to the originals. The puzzles aren't as tricky as the original so far, which is both good and bad - good because I'm not as frustrated trying to solve them, but bad, because it feels like I'm whizzing through the game with little challenge.

So, uh, I finally got my mitts on this baby. It's absolutely fantastic so far -- "Syberia in 2017" is a very accurate description, however obvious that may sound.

Even using a controller, I do find the controls a touch clunky, though. And it looks a little aged, I will admit, lacking technical polish as well, but the soul is still there. I'm enjoying myself immensely.

My only real complaint is that the voice acting has lost a lot of its character (but Sharon Mann still voices Kate, so we're good, really ) even if the script is charming as ever.
A lot of the Youkols are voiced in plain "standard American" accents. That bothers me, if only 'cos it's awkward to hear someone talk in what's supposed to be broken English, but the actors are just reading off the script.

It's really hitting all the marks for me, and it might be my favourite story of the three games!

I couldn't think of a better way to make Syberia for 2017. I hope the people who are complaining right now about the lack of point-and-click gameplay and having to rely on the keyboard or gamepad instead will eventually get over it and enjoy playing the game. It's a worthy follow up indeed.

I love the Youkols! A lot of people are upset because the story focuses on them, rather than the automatons, but to me, following the two previous games the focus being on the Youkol tribe seems really natural. I like that it seems to pick up where it left off, despite there being over 10 years between game releases.

Hope you enjoy it, lcroft_lc!

I think my saved game is corrupt, it's just loading and loading, so I might have to start again... haha.
