It's really quite surreal running around on a building that actually looks like a real building in classic TR.

TombEditor will support TR3 (it kinds of does already). Maybe you could 'fix' broken TR3 experience with your updated levels? London desperately needs an update.

It would have the old limits though wouldn't it? Rather than the expanded TRNG ones I mean. I'm going pretty object heavy in this.

Although if it has the same limits as TRNG for TR3 levels I'd love to fix up London and release it as a mod for the game. The section's architecture makes little to no sense and there is a distinct lack of purpose. I mean, why exactly is Lara breaking into St Paul's? She doesn't know about Sophia till the sniper and that's not exactly the most direct way to her building.

I finally have 'something' to show! YAY - this is not my actual level, just something I made quickly to test the 'new' remade TGA





So, a bit of background on what I am doing.. I am reviving my Fragments of Aion project, with a classic twist.
Instead of remaking old TR levels with HD textures, I am not going to do 'reimagining' levels based on the classic TGA and objects sets.

I was just gonna use the classic default level textures, but TR1 would look low quality compared to the TR3 levels .. and I want a consistant TR3/4 look to the levels.
So I decided to adapt TR1's Greece to look more like TR4 using TRC textures, some of my own custom, and a few from TR Xtra.
They still use 64x64 format for the classic style

The only catch with this - is that I will have to remake the rest of the TR1 and 2 levels in this way, which could take a long time..
What do you guys think - would using the old original textures look better? Or should I 'remake' them to be higher quality like I have in the above screen..

I'm currently in the process of making the TR4 Poseidon temple pillars etc look like TR1s - for some added details.. should look nice
