teme9, I've been trying to get this across all along and you've done it perfectly.

I'm very confused at why people expect it to look as good as Uncharted or Crysis. It isn't going to happen. It's at the very least on par or better than other multiplatform/semi-openworld games. Look Batman: Arkham Asylum. It looks a lot better graphically.

Call me crazy, but seeing the threads in Lara's shirt isn't going to make the game any better. Larger environments will, however.

Underworld Lara had plenty of detail, but honestly.. most of that detail went wasted which is kind of sad. The cloth textures had tons of neat detail but skin did not have as much and many other things. There needs to be balance somewhere.

And if they increase detail of Lara they should also increase the detail of environment otherwise the Lara will look out of place and does not fit the scenery. But since they have big environments this might be the cause why they don't go into as much detail in Lara as in Underworld they had. Underworld Lara in my opinion always stood out from the environments because they lacked the detail Lara had.

Thanks! And besides this should not be compared to Uncharted graphically. Uncharted is ps3 exclusive and they don't need to worry about some other console that won't be able run it. They can optimize their game to run percectly on ps3. And Tomb Raider, AC, Batman - they need to take all the major platforms to their mind. They all need to be able to run it

And yes with the last lines I agree with It would be cool if the Lara were more detailed but.. as I replied to Linoshi Croft: Lara might look like that she does no belong to the game. As the environments would not look as detailed as she would be.

I think the main problem with the hair is that it is glued at the tip at the end. The old one was 'flat' or didn't go at a point, which made it look much free-er and better. This one is glued at a point until it moves, which is okay i guess, but the old one looked better for the reasons i just said, IMO

the old ponytail looked horrible. maybe in some screenshots it looked okay but thats it. a ponytail isnt split into many strands when its just hanging around

the crossroads trailer hair isnt even up to date. laras hair in the gt.tv demo is more loose now and split into even more strands, of course its still not perfect but there wont be great hair in the current generation.

I want to see improved facial features for the character models. Something just looks really off with lara in certain scenes and it just makes things awkward. Some cutscene animation looks a little stiff as well, but actual in game mechanics look great
