That's Scully and Mulder, Not Lara's Parents.
I'm convinced that CD put an easter egg in the main menu video of the red headed woman and man in black suits walking on the manor grounds. That looks EXACTLY like Scully and Mulder from the X-files showing up after Lara's disappearance to investigate the strange circumstances around her death, and perhaps gain some clues from her mansion. Think about all the supernatural artifacts and occurrences Lara has uncovered. The x-files definitely would've wanted a peace of that.

It's not an easter egg, it's just a continuation of the opening cutscene with Lara's parents at the memorial. The reason they don't match the FMV models is just because they're recycled. Andrea is a recycled Natla, and I believe Henshingly uses Von Croy's model.

Lara's parents are both alive in the classic timeline.
L/A/U had her mother die in Avalon and her father killed by Natla before she was 18. |

Classic Lara’s mum was called Andrea? I never knew that, is it in side material?

In my headcanon it's Lara's Aunt (the one who gave her the "Croft Manor" cottage she lives in during the classic games) and Aunt's husband/Lara's Uncle through marriage.
Then I like to pretend Lara's parents are missing/dead so CORE Lara can be the same Lara as LAU haha |
