Oh I love horror movies!!
The "scariest" one for me is Hush. It's so intense! Babadook has its scary moments as well. Another great horror movie is The Eyes of my Mother. It's one of the most disturbing movies I've ever seen. Not scary, just plain ***** up. |

The first act of The Autopsy of Jane Doe is superbly well made to scare your pants off. The second act however kinda dipped in quality, but overall I gave the movie 8/10
Not really a horror movie but the concept of Annihilation is really unsettling. Imagine having yourself changed from a molecular level/ DNA refracted without your consent. Body horror is fascinating and scary at the same time. The ending is quite exquisite tho, H.R Giger and H.P Lovecraft realness I used to be a scaredy-cat growing up but yeah after I've grown up I began to be less-gullible and skeptic about the paranormal so I rarely get scared nowadays. Heck, I'd go find a ghost if I could lol |

The Conjuring ****ed me up really bad.
Anything involving demonic possession is a big no no for me. |

Probably [REC] and [REC]2. The third and fourth weren't that scary tho. Spanish horror is amazing

I think jump scares are crude gimmicks. I also think most slasher movies are boring. I tend to appreciate "slow burn" horror movies like The Witch, Rosemary's Baby, The Wicker Man, and Get Out much more.
That said, the only movie I've ever seen that actually made me lose sleep was Salo, or the 120 days of Sodom. And it's not a horror movie per se. Last edited by Tyrannosaurus; 21-05-18 at 18:29. |

Hm the scariest movie I have ever seen ?
Oh I know, Kazaam! You know, the one where Shaq plays a genie. I think what's mos fright me is the asian horror genre there's a lot of creativity in it and it's not some movies with jumpscares there's an ambiance. |

To me, the scariest films are the ones where people are needlessly killed or tortured in the most morbid, disturbing and insane ways just for the sake of it, even when they are awful people. Films like Saw, Hostel, Final Destination and Piranha 3D are the ones which I cannot let myself to watch again.
Everything else, I'm okay. Sometimes I feel like you don't need to show all the gory part to scare people. The Ring comes to mind (that film barely has any blood and it is still creepy). |

Up to then it had been a long time since I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, the last time it happened before I saw The Fourth Kind was when I played the demo for the first Silent Hill game back in 1999. The original Poltergeist movie scared the out of me the first time I saw it, I must have been 4 or 5 at the time, I watched it again a few months ago and didn't find it scary at all if anything I thought it was funny. 2 scenes still did creep me out the girl saying their here and that clown. I don't really watch horror films because they are too much for me, but I have seen a few.
For horror fans they might not be that scary. They are La Orfanato and Los Ojos de Julia. Both starring Belén Rueda. |
