Make sure you have put the scripts in the correct place:
Read this!

Also, note that the scripts only work with Blender version 2.49, not the new one.

Ich benutze die Blender Verion 2,55 Beta. Ich hatte zusätzliches zu dem eingebauten Python eine weitere Version 2.7 heruntergeladen. Wenn ich jedoch "Datei->Importieren" anwähle, dann gibt nur 4 Dateitypen, die importiert werden können; COLLADA, Motion Capture, 3D Studio und Wavefront. Das Problem ist, dass es absolut keine Option für den Import von .mesh.ascii Dateitypen gibt :-(

I am sorry, you have used the wrong Blender version !!!
You need Blender version 2.49b

Blender Version 2.5x do not works. I have never released this Import and Export scripts, because the API (Application programming interface) for Blender 2.5 say:
The Python API in Blender 2.5 is UNSTABLE, It should only be used for testing, any script written now may break in future releases.

Download Blender version 2.49b
Donwload and install Phyton. Your latest phyton download with version 2.7 is the same.

Copy ImportMeshAsciiExtended.py and ExportMeshAsciiExtended.py in the right folder:
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\Application Data\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts
Vista or Windows 7: users\app data\roaming\Blender Foundation\.Blender\scripts

Read the chapter Installation:

Then test the tool chain.

Now make a simple NoGear modification

With other words:
Read and follow the "Basic Tutorials about Mesh-MOD's:" here


Bender 2.5 ist leider noch nicht geeignet um MODifikationen für XNALara herzustellen. Ich habe die entsprechenden Scripte noch nicht veröffentlicht, weil sich die Programmier-Schnittstelle von der neuen Blender-Version sich noch im Änderungs-Stadium befindet.

Benützt als bitte noch Blender 2.49b !!!
Geht bitte die "Grundlegenden Tutorials für die Mesh-MOD Erstellung:" hier Schritt für Schritt (mindestens bis zu den "NoGear-Modellen) durch.

Die Installationsschritte der benötigten Werkzeug ist gleich in der ersten Anleitung zu finden

Oh, this is too bad..

Please search for the word 'meshes' and tell us the number of the meshes you have in the mesh.ascii.
There is a possibility that your .ascii has no meshes..

The word 'unused' is for unused bones, do not touch it!

When you mean "Convert a model as Generic_Item.Mesh", is it supposed to be imported, despite the fact that it isn't a MeshAsciiExt? And what do you use to convert this? I attempted on another model who had the "Generic_Item.Mesh" file already and it would not import. I read everything, however, I am just a little confused at some points. >_<

Ack. This modding stuff is really a piece of work. You guys have my utmost respect.
