Well, I wasn't counting GoL or ToO, but it includes LAU, yes.
I've not had a problem at all with LAU on my PC

If you want me to do up an extensive list though, here.

TRI - Playstation 1.
TRII - PC.
TRIII - PC.
TRIV - PC.
TRC - PC.
TRAoD - Playstation 2.
Tomb Raider Legend - PC.
Tomb Raider Anniversary - PC.
Tomb Raider Underworld - I'm gonna actually go with Playstation 3 on this one.
Tomb Raider (2013) - PC. PS4 came close, but I prefer the PC version due to the face.
Rise of the Tomb Raider - Anything except the 360. That's the only platform I have played it on and ugh! Terrible!

GoL and ToO - PS

Story so Far option was only in PS1 same with the Dynamic lighting effects, look at PS1 London for example and compare it with PC version

PS4 will more than likely get the DLC bundled with the game but the game as a whole will look cleaner on PC.

This list looks to be shaping up nicely
Thanks! Alright, so assuming there is no exclusivity with the Xbox One version, PC would be definitive. Updated!

That's fair. I prefer the PC versions myself. I thought the first five games were capped at 30 FPS though? It's a solid 30 FPS, but it's not 60.

Thanks for the detailed replies! I am curious though--obviously the X360 version of Rise is not the definitive, but I plan on renting an Xbox 360 and a copy of Rise of the Tomb Raider so I can get it over with and not face spoilers anymore, hahaha. Are there issues with Rise on 360, or are you just rating it based on graphics?

I kinda agree with this list apart for Tomb Raider 1 to 4 (because of the Gold versions and bonus level). I'd go with the PC versions for this reason.

Why are save crystals an advantage? Versus saving anywhere you want?!
Also, there aren't mods that enable in PC's AoD version most of the PS2 exclusive stuff?

Agree with absolutely all except TRU. Why PS3 version ? This is the worst of NG versions imo. Levels are not automatically save in the menu so we can't replay a specific level like PC et 360 versions. It is also more buggy. I go with 360 thanks to Beneath the Ashes and Lara's Shadow.

"Definitive" doesn't equate to "most advantageous." In various cases, I'm referring to how the creators intended the game to be played. Save Crystals fall under this category.

As for your AoD question, there's a lot of stuff left to be added from the PS2 version... From my list:

- Demo movie with an exclusive song (This probably can't be restored)
- 360 camera rotation assigned to the Right Analog Stick | Only works with the mouse when Lara is on a ladder in Sasho's TRVI Recovery Patch
- Pressure-sensitive movement with the Left Analog Stick (This probably can't be restored)
- Tank control movement/dynamic 360 circular movement combination (This probably can't be restored)
- 180 stance turn, running skid turn, and swimming turn | Swimming turn has not been added to Sasho's Recovery Patch and likely can't be
- Subtitles can be disabled (Though you must do this every time you start the game) | Subtitles can only be disabled from the debug menu
- Better and more sensible footprint effects
- Dust cloud effects when Lara runs in certain areas (e.g. the dirt ground of the Archaeological Dig level)
- Fractal noise effect
- Water drops from Lara after coming out of water from swimming
- Eckhardt's glove glow effect
- Blood spatter effect | Blood spatter is not as good in Sasho's Recovery Patch as it is in the PS2 version
- Better heat haze effects
- Visible lasers in the Strahov Fortress
- Shapeshifter effect
- Pictures for the save menu
- Extras option on the title screen for The Making Of movie and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life trailer
- A few exclusive voice clips

Snowfall and credits have been added back in via mods, yes.

I'm just basing it on the graphics it was a good version so I could at least know how the story etc played out but I'll DEFINITELY be getting the PS4 version
