Default Destiny 2 has Virgin Media exclusive DLC

Quote:
UK Virgin Fibre customers will get an exclusive sparrow vehicle in Destiny 2, decorated in the brand's red and white livery.

If you have Virgin Fibre you can use the Athena Victorious sparrow in Destiny 2 from the game's console launch day, 6th September.

Codes for the sparrow must be claimed from Virgin Media's website (virginmedia.com/redeemsparrow) before 13th December. Images of the sparrow have not yet been released officially, but were showcased by YouTuber MoreConsole:

It's the second brand promotion for Destiny 2 to be detailed this week, following the Rockstar Energy drink and Pop-Tarts offers unveiled on Monday. These will grant you in-game gear and XP bonuses.

Destiny 1, meanwhile, partnered with Red Bull to offer XP bonuses and an exclusive blue-coloured sparrow.

Will the Virgin Fibre sparrow be available for anyone not on Virgin Fibre? Activision is yet to say.

I cannot believe how out of hand DLC is getting these days. We've had platform exclusive, timed exclusive, retailer exclusive and even DLC from DRINKS!
Not everyone can get Virgin Media and I'm one of those people.

^ Meh, I wouldn't really worry about it. Activision are likely to release a Complete Edition with all the DLC included later on anyway or make them available separately for purchase. Every AAA publisher does this for games, so its not really a common occurrence to see them not make it available to everyone in some form

Can't see the brand exclusive ones being made available later. Literally works as an advert for that company, with the company colours etc. Wouldn't be surprised if they had the logo somewhere too.

If they start giving that out to people who don't even buy the product, what incentive would anyone have to buy the product?

I'm sure that the brand's have paid for these exclusive things and wouldn't take too kindly to that advertising money being largely pointless.

Destiny is THE worst offender as far as DLC goes. Try this on for size: Xbox one players paying the same amount of money for DLC packages that have less content than the PS4 gets. Literally paying for less content--and, in some cases--that content has never come to the Xbox One, even 3 years later.

I'm with Virgin Media but am so not interested in this, nor the game for that matter.
