The dlc is soooo good! It plays like a slightly tighter more refined version of the original.

Whistleblower has more chase moments and little bit better ai but other than that it's the same old song and dance. In original you needed to hide, here you just run your ass off. It has some creepy moments but after playing original it's not scary and it's short.
Basically it didn't reveal any special details about main story, just some vague comments about MKULTRA and the Walrider. It's an average dlc, not bad but not great either. Game archives are huge, gameplay time is short. It uses the same recycled locations and items. Bottom line: original is better. |

Just read that elsewhere. I haven't played the game (too scary for me to play on my own and I don't have anyone to play it with ) but I watched a commented walkthrough on YouTube and it seems to be a pretty great game so I'm glad that they're making a sequel.

Is anyone else excited for the Outlast trials ? I absolutely loved Outlast 1&2.

I never owned these games (bar for playing the first 2 chapter's at a friend's place), but I've seen full length playthroughs on youtube before. I'm rather fascinated by the lore. It's surprisingly deep for an indie game, especially the first one. Also the antagonists are really interesting and charismatic.
I am definitely looking forward to Outlast Trials, but I don't see it coming out in 2022 at this point. They'll most likely announce a second delay soon. |

It gives some background for the first game (how some of the residents ended up in that asylum, also it leads up to the second game... |

The Outlast Trials is going to be showcased at Gamescom opening night on August 23rd. (8pm Berlin, 2pm New York time)
We also got a fresh, sexy high res close up of Mother Gooseberry. For those who don't know, she seems to be one of the main antagonists of the game. She looks to be the stalker, bruiser type enemy, the same way we had Chris Walker and Marta in the previous games. I've meant to read that comic forever. I know *some* of the key events, but it would be nice to finally get through the entire story. I shall read it this weekend maybe. |

Thank you so much for this information ! Mother Gooseberry is giving off some Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibes. |
