Default 11 Oscar Worthy Music Videos

Quote:
The Oscars are coming [this article is a few days old lol], and there's nothing anybody can do about it. So with movies on our minds, we figured the upcoming ceremonies would be the perfect way to celebrate our favourite musical mini-movies – or, for the more literal definition, cinematic music videos.

Will watching the likes of Michael Jackson, Pulp, Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire and Kanye West on this list make Lana Del Rey's "Summertime Sadness" Oscar snub any less painful? No.

But at the very least, you can now kill the same amount of time here as you would watching an actual film – and with better music, too.

11. Madonna - Like a Prayer

10. Drake - Worst Behaviour

9. Lady Gaga ft. Beyonce - Telephone

8. Lana Del Rey - Ride

7. Eminem ft. Dido - Stan

6. People - Common People

5. Beyonce - Pretty Hurts

4. Arcade Fire - Afterlife

3. Michael Jackson - Thriller

2. M.I.A - Born Free

1. Kanye West - Runaway

What videos would you add to the list?

Do you agree with the videos listed?

Britney Spears-Toxic

Slays everything in that list and never looks back TBH!

Not a bad list. Afterlife and Born Free are amazing videos.

I'd add every single music video from Björk (especially Cocoon, Wanderlust and Mutual Core).

That is debatable. I'm grateful that many 60's and 70's classics still remain as mainstays for soundtracks in modern day movies.
