I'm pretty sure I've read about Western companies (not sure if they were in Europe or the US, though) opening something like laser tag arenas for VR (so you've actually got physical obstacles/objects inside the arena that have the same layout of whatever you see inside your VR headset and it's proper roomscale VR where you can walk around inside the virtual world - presumably with the computers powering the whole thing in a backpack?).
