I have mixed feelings about this game.

On one hand, I adore it as I have great memories of it. It was the first TR I saw, it featured a nice variety of scenarios and the flashback feeling it has (as if you were in some timemachine, with really atmospheric periods of Lara's life) is one of the best you could ever get from a videogame, maybe even movie-like.

But on the other hand, it's short, a bit silly and doesn't appear to have been created with the same passion as the previous games (which is comprehensible, since it was made in a rush), so sometimes, I'd rather Core hadn't made the game at all and focused more on the development of AOD.

I have mixed feelings about Chronicles. I do like it but I wouldn't chose to play it unless I was really bored. Rome and Ireland are the only two sections of the game that I highly enjoy, I can live without the rest.

I see chronicles as a filler game between 4-AoD and don't actually class it as a proper main Tomb Raider game. I view it as a spin off.

Yes, Chronicles gets a bit overshadowed by the 4 games that preceded it.

I like Chronicles. Far from my favourite, but it's a fun little trip. I think it just felt tired, which makes sense considering they wanted to kill Lara off. A lot of fans picked up on that fatigue, I think.

Oddly, Chronicles is the TR game I've replayed the most. I have no explanation for that, other than that maybe it's really short?

VCI levels. Oh. my. god... such terrible game design. You literally have to look up what to do because you're given no clues as to where to go or defeat the cyborgs or what not.
