I don't think I did. In fact, I didn't even remember there was the option.

(Even though he dies anyway) It just doesn't seem logical. Maybe choices will be incorporated into Shadow of the Tomb Raider similar to this section. Thoughts?

Can a moderator please change the title of this thread to spell Konstantin correctly thanks.
Heck yeah I killed the bugger! I saw it as "he's evil that has to be stopped". I didn't even know about the choice option till after I finished the game.

The first time I played the game, I fully expected the moment to end in a reveal that Konstantine was only feigning defeat, and that there would be another stupid QTE afterwards, in which you had to kill him. So I took no chances and shot an arrow right into his eye. Seriously.

But knowing now that this wasn't required of me, I think the story probably works better if Lara spares Konstantine out of pity or the like. In fact, I think a much better twist would have been if Konstantine was betrayed by the rest of Trinity (the game hints that he doesn't have much loyalty to them after all) and had to temporarily join forces with Lara. But it was a missed opportunity, like the rest of ROTTR's story.

I was curious what happens if I walked away and then yeah he burnt to death anyway. To quote Lara on that scene - "Burn in hell."

Did anyone see that YouTube video where Lara kills Konstantin with a tin can?

Skip to around 1:35 to see it

Eh, imho that's pretty cheesy (and not really in the fun way). We already did that in Underworld anyways with Amanda. Not to mention it'd be completely out of character. I think Konstantin falling into metaphorical hell is way more satisfying, because irony and what-not.
