I think the hardest part of the game is the ascending wall run in the great pyramid. I can't count the number of times I've had Lara fall to her death because the ****ing camera angle changes slightly and she jumps or grabs wrong...

And the adrenaline dodge is not a good combat idea either, IMHO.

Still, I agree for the most part it's a pretty good game, and the levels themselves are absolutely gorgeous in regards to artwork, detail, etc.
Yeah, my problem is setting up the t-rex, lol. I'll think I have it and then... nope.

Oh man, the buggy ledges! I haven't gotten that far, but I've encountered a few in St. Francis' Folly that are a slight buggy. I died about 5 times trying to get to it.

No, it's one of the worst Tomb Raider's in the franchise. As for the T-Rex part, I found that pretty easy.
I don't think it's boring, but I'm easily occupied to be honest, lol. I don't really like the dull empty corridors myself.

Boring, lifeless colours, long repeating corridors, streamlined areas, total removal of areas, the adrenalin dodge.
It's just not a good remake, or even a good game IMO. :/
I admit I don't like how some of the areas were completely removed! I was like "wait... wasn't there something here in TR1?"

The adrenaline dodge is something I have yet to master. It's complicated, IMO.

Also, I wish the Tomb of Qualopec was a little harder... it's too easy. I think that's really one of my only complaints (so far LOL).

It walks all over Legend and Underworld.
Yeah, TR1 is "God-tier" in my book, lol. I actually haven't played Legend or Underworld (I need to though, I'm trying to play all Tomb Raiders at least once!)

Love reading your opinions, everyone!

Nothing to add, tbh

lol it was even easier in TR1 . Annivsersary added the traps and traversing beneath them , more platforming and had the player create his way to the three rooms instead of being 3 corridors in each direction .

Which became easy after the first corridor. Honestly they should of kept it as an empty hall. It would of been much harder that way.

Um , No . Anniversary had enough empty corridors for a 100 years , it's good corridors in this level at least had something going on in them .

Yeah it was great for the first corridor but then when you realize you can actually fall and survive the second one. Well, it's not much fun. Apart from St. Francis Folly I don't think I actually like anything in Anniversary lol.

Well, St.Francis' Folly is literally the only level where TRA comes close to TR1. It's the only level that's properly remade and should have served as an example for the other levels. Unforunately as far as remaking TR1 goes Crystal screwed up completely with the other levels. Some areas in the other levels were worthy remakes, but only parts of them and never the levels as a whole. Most of them are even pure insults to TR1. They only got one level remade properly and that's SFF.
TRA is still a very good game in its own right though and by far Crystal's best TR game.

IMHO, St. Francis Folly is the best level in TRA. It is mostly lacking the enraging camera bugginess that makes Lara miss her grip after doing wall runs (Hee hee! I think I'll jump out into empty space! Life bores me! ), and the stupid adrenaline dodge is needed only for the lions at the very start.

A couple weird bugs I have seen in SFF:

Lara will pretty much never grab the ledge and drop down after flipping the Damocles switch, she almost always falls. I have also seen her continue traversing into empty space when she is supposed to go around a corner on one ledge, then she magically snaps back into place on the next ledge. She does something like this on a ladder too, like she's climbing an invisible ladder while the real ladder is off to her left. Weird.

Another enraging thing in TRA is that she will stupidly switch targets and start firing at something far off while something big and hairy that bites is charging in right next to her. WTF?

Another weird thing I have seen: One time in Qualopec, after I skipped over the raptor in the pit on the way back to the main room, grabbed the scion and took off back to the exit, the raptor was in the VERY first pit waiting for Lara to fall in , somehow it apparently magically transported itself back to the level start just because it wanted Lara so bad. Anyone else ever see this?

I respectfully disagree. In fact I think TRA had some of the best puzzles in the entire franchise. The waterfall puzzle in the Lost Valley, the entirety of the Saint Francis Folly, the Cistern puzzle, the water puzzle at the end of Sanctuary of the Scion and the crate puzzle in Natla's Mines are the highlights. They were so so so much more complex than they were in TR1.

I agree what you say about the corridoors, but the puzzles themselves... no. They were outstanding in my opinion.
