Default Annotated Tomb Raider Playthrough

Finally finished Peru, so I decided it was time to let the world know about my annotated Tomb Raider playthrough; I was inspired by seeing the level reviews people had written, both here at TRF and elsewhere, and decided to put my own spin on it. EDIT: It's done

First post- TR project overview

Level 1, Caves

Level 2, City of Vilcabamba

Level 3, Lost Valley

Level 4, Tomb of Qualopec

Level 5, St. Francis' Folly

Level 6, Coliseum

Level 7, Palace Midas

Level 8, The Cistern

Level 9, Tomb of Tihocan

Level 10, City of Khamoon

Level 11, Obelisk of Khamoon

Level 12, Sanctuary of the Scion

Level 13, Natla's Mines

Level 14, Atlantis

Level 15, The Great Pyramid

In theory, I hope to eventually play all the TRs, or at least the Core games, but considering how long it took me to get this far, I'll just be happy if I finish TR.

Anyway, I hope some TR fans find it an interesting read, comments welcome.

I have just finished reading the first one, and I am impressed! And if it is indeed the "longest blog ever" than the appetizer I have just consumed is a mere tasty morsel that whets my appetite for the still-to-come, many course feast. Your writing style is the equivalent of a comfy chair, it allows the reader to settle in, relax and take it as it comes. Nice pace.

And if I may say so, your observations delivered and conclusions rendered thus far mimic my thoughts as well.

I love it!! Your thoughts are spot on and I think you have a great insight into the Tomb Raider realm.

One question though, in the Tomb of Qualopec section, what version of the game were the screenies taken from? It looks like a slight graphical remake of the original one.

???

Thanks for the kind words Eddie, it's appreciated. I strive to be a "comfy chair", lol.

Cbragg09, the screens from the Tomb of Qualopec entry were taken from Katie's Tomb Raider Screenshots (with permission)- I believe she used the PC version, but beyond that I'm not sure.

Okay thank you.

I didnt realize the pc version had different textures and a slightly different model for Lara, or even the scion for that matter. Cool!

They are the high res textures. Here is the exact same location from identical vantage points for all four of the artists renderings:

Karen this is, by far, the BEST write-up to the original ever. Saved to my favorites and I will be following.
