Default Nothing is loading at all.

Hello all

I have just been using NGLE and halfway through building a room my system crashed and re-booted itself, after it had finished loading I clicked on my user and it loaded, except nothing loaded at all. No desktop, no start menu, no taskbar, I had to get onto the forums using task manager.

Whenever I log-on it also displays this:

Quote:
Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close, we are sorry for the inconvenience
I opened up task manager and tried to run explorer.exe but it displays the same message, the shell is also there so I don't know how or what to do.

I have sfc /scannow running at the moment and even if it does work please post your help here so I can fix it if it happens in the future

Thank you

Go back to previous restore point. If it won't help reinstall windows. There is no other way to fix windows explorer

Damn, I don't even have a Dell XP or Win7 disk, that sucks, I really don't wanna pirate either, humph.

Edit: There doesn't seem to be any restore points, I guess my windows has just failed, It's supposed to make one after every boot and every major file change, no?

Restore points getting created after major updates but it doesn't matter you said you have none.

That do suck indeed.

Try to clean it with malwarebytes, maybe just a virus. If that won't help then it's damaged kernel
