New PS3s?
Hi
My PS3 died on me a couple of months ago and I was wondering if there was anywhere I could buy a new one in the UK or if I have to go down the preowned route? I'm not having much look looking at Sony's website/Argos/Tesco or Amazon. Well I think some sellers have new ones although they are quite overpriced! Thanks in advance! |

Have you tried looking on eBay? Idk if new PS3s are that common anymore. Maybe try looking for one in like-new condition if you can't find sealed.

Saw some new PS3s on GAME, only problem is they're £500... you can get a PS4 Pro with quite a few games for the same price..
You may have to go down the preowned route if you don't want to spend that much. |

Jesus on Amazon they're all used, have Sony stopped production on them? Wouldn't make sense when you can't exactly play PS3 games on the PS4, only through PS Now which has a limited selection any ways.

Only in NZ, and Japan will be stopping production in a few days. Everywhere else they're still being produced I assume.

^Yeah when I read about them stopping production in Japan I thought I better get round to getting a new one. I tend to use my PS3 for storing and playing music as well as games. (Playing music on the PS4 ain't the same!) And apart from a few games, I grudge having to buy a game again for PS4 if I want to play it. E.g. I fancy playing Metal Gear Rising again and I doubt that's on the PS4 store!
I think I may have to go down the preowned route but will check out Ebay and GameSeek. Thanks for the help guys! Last edited by milkshake364; 21-03-17 at 20:22. |

Yeah I'd just read they were discontinuing them recently.
I'd say eBay is probably your best bet. Or call around to all the cities or towns in your area and see what they say. Maybe some random game shop has one? |

I saw a couple of new ones on eBay for around £200. Factoring in the shipping cost, it shouldn't be more than £230-£250.

Well I'm sorry to hear that it died. Did it get YLOD or did it die a different way? Anyway The only PS3's you could possibly get are from online sites AFAIK. and can AOD be played on PS4?
