Animal Farm. Such a distressing tale of betrayal and corruption. :/

Persuasion by Jane Austen.

Better than that over-praised Pride and Prejudice thing. Or, at least, I enjoyed it much more.

And definitely good to read something chirpy with a happy ending for a change.

Finally finished Wicked: Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (phew) by Gregory Maguire

Maguire's spin on the world of Oz and its lore simply grabbed me. There's a witty outlook to everything. Nessarose, Sarima and Princess Nastoya are among my favourite characters. His characters are all very colourful and zany but there's such a touch of humanity to them.

Pet Semetary

I read this book at least twice a year, and I am within complete agreement with King that it IS his most frightening book.

At a recent sale, I bought Roger Moore's autobiography "My Word is My Bond", and Steve Berry's Cotton Malone novel "The Paris Vendetta". I've not read "real" books in the longest time; I actually prefer reading screenplays. It's interesting to find early versions of a particular script, and compare it to the end result, which is especially educational for someone who loves to write.

Mummy Told Me Not To Tell by Cathy Glass.

Loved it, although it was a bit uneventful.
