Default Unreleased Tomb Raider Movie Script (1999)

Ok, we had the 1998 unreleased Brent V. Friedman Script

https://sfy.ru/?script=tomb_raider_early

But now is online a copy of the new unreleased Tomb Raider Movie Script. The script is dated 1999 and was later changed completely.

https://www.tomb-of-ash.com/first-ev...-movie-script/

Enjoy this fun readin! This could have been Lara Croft: Tomb Raider 2001

Reading it for 15 minutes and already they get the idea of Lara's motivation more than the movies, LAU, and the rebooted games...

INTERVIEWER (cont'd)
Having survived the tragedy that took
your parents from you, one would think
you've had quite enough adventure. Is it
just to sell magazines?

Kate looks on nervously, waiting, almost willing Lara to
speak. Her staff look on as Lara thinks.
Finally,..

LARA
I do it because it makes me feel a
heightened sense of reality. Of life, I
suppose.

Kate looks on in an "Okay, keep going." kind of way.
LARA (cont'd)
When you're out there, right at the very
extreme - you have no choice but to push further.

LARA (cont'd )
(thoughtful, almost spiritual)
To look right into the eyes of the
infinite.

The Interviewer smiles. This beautiful, refined woman
speaking so boldly holds a very specific kind of seductive
magic and he is drawn into her.

LARA (cont'd)
(confident, smile)
And once you've looked into those eyes,
there's really no going back, is there?

That script was actually really good till the adventure which is actually a good thing as that's always the easiest to modify but the bit with Kate and the publishing is genuinely the type of stuff I'm banking on there being a lot of in the new movie.

I imagine younger Rhona Mitra as Lara in that script.

Of what I read, gave the impression of where the reboot idea of the new games came from

I like more that Lara Croft: Tomb Raider final script.

As a curiosity, this was the original screenplay of the movie and they intended to film. The movie was called: Tomb Raider: Achilles Shield. Then Simon West came and changed everything.

I read this bit in Judith Gibbins voice and it just clicks, especially the last line. It works in Jonell Elliot's portrayal of Lara too. A bit more playful and cheeky, whereas Judith is more straight forward and blunt. Either way, it feels like something Lara would actually say.

I've always wanted to read some of the unused scripts for the first "T.R" movie. That thread from a while ago with the excerpts from the book about movies that were stuck in development hell for years which had a chapter dedicated to "T.R" really piqued my interest - some of the ideas were a bit out there. Looking forward to reading this...
