ROTTR is the perfect choice for a sequel, we'd have awesome set pieces with the avalanche and the bear chase omg

Keep in mind that if they adapt Rise, there will be huge changes.
I hope that they make things better and not worse...

There would be huge changes, in the same way, there were for the 1st movie from the 1st game. The movie took "inspiration" from the game with it's set piece on an island but overall the story was totally different.

I'd be more than happy with Lu Ren in the next movie - he would essentially replace Jonah from ROTTR. I'm sure they'd utilise his character more given how much audiences liked his character.

I really feel like they should have taken a risk and make it rated R.
It's not true that there's not an audience for that (look at Deadpool or Logan); they would have been more faithful to the source material and (more important) the movie would have felt like an actual reboot (I'm sure a lot of people just felt it was a prequel to Angelina's movies).

I don't really see the need for an R rating. The only thing it would really change would be Lara's kills. They could show her as being more aggressive but I don't even think Lara should kill too much in the movies. She should stick to exploring. Deadpool and Logan are two characters that are naturally R rated and I think Tomb Raider naturally lends itself to a PG-13 rating.

I think the movie did good in a PG13 rating. There were still some pretty brutal and disturbing scenes, like the first kill. So if they managed to achieve that in a PG13 rating, I don't really see the need for more gore than that. I'm not opposed to the idea, but it'd probably be better if it stays as it is to avoid losing profit.
