Default PS4 Pro particle effects Rise of Tomb Raider

I have a question for users of the Pro, have been thinking of getting one since my ps4 was stolen, however in watching some videos on yotube comparing the ps4 version of ROTTR to the Pro version there are missing particle effects on the pro that appear on the Ps4, is this due to it being shown in a 4k mode? where efffects are sacrificed for better image quailty, will these effects re-appear if reducing down to the 1080p 30 fps mode on the pro? i have been unable to find a 1080p comparison on the pro of the same particular scene of fire particles to compare with.

I am no PS4 Pro user, but I'll answer your question.

The short answer is yes. Quality is compromised to achieve a 4k resolution.

I have no direct confirmation on this but you'll probably see those effects in the 30fps 1080p mode.

^ It's upscaled to 4K.
99% of Pro games are not natively 4K.

From the footage i've seen, I don't have a first hand account sorry, it looks like in order to achieve 4k, there is a sacrifice in some of the visual effects as a compromise.
